On 4th of march at the Rendall House Liverpool University Globalisation Cafe hosted a talk by Vijay Mehta on his book ‘The Economics of Killing’.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Phillip Leech, Teacher in International Relations who introduced Vijay to the audience. The event started with showing the film ‘Change the World’ which was followed by a 20 minute talk by Vijay exploring the core messages of the book.
Then the event was opened to the audience for Q&A session. Some of the questions asked by the students were humanitarian aid and poverty reduction, space race, nuclear weapons, Arab Spring, tug-of-war between US, China and Japan, Economics of Global Governance and much more.
